Whole Foods Helps CHOICE end poverty
On Tuesday, March 18th, Whole Foods Market Sugar House and CHOICE Humanitarian partnered to end poverty. As part of the Whole Foods "Community Day" program, CHOICE staff and volunteers interacted with shoppers from 8 AM until 7 PM, sharing information, explaining why CHOICE is different, and celebrating the successful community-based projects in rural villages in Nepal, Kenya, Bolivia, Guatemala, and Mexico.
We are thankful to our friends who joined us at the event to support our efforts to end poverty by providing delicious samples of their unique products and talents.
* CUISINE UNLIMITED
* RICO CATERING
* LAURIE'S BUFFALO GOURMET CHIPS
* BUNNERY PANCAKE & WAFFLE MIX
A special bonus to the day was the presence of our In-Country Director from Bolivia, Willy Mendoza, with his two daughters, Amanda and Emily.
In addition to the good will, great vibes, and community outreach, CHOICE will receive 5% of the days net sales...the numbers are in and we raised over $3300 and topped last year's event! Thanks to ALL who participated!
